Summary

Let's see if anybody (besides me) can use this. Please let me know!

I have this Pi4 laying around since 2020 with the SSD loosely attached to it. The USB connector doesn't like this. I decided to create something that holds them together.

The Pi4 is only held in place by gravity (i'm too lazy to add clamps).
I only use it stationary. Just add rubber bands.
In the version i use (a bit different from this one) the SSD fits exactly inside the baseplate after some mechanical adjustments. This version has a bit more slack.

The SSD housing has the following measurements: length 101.3mm, width 32mm, heigth 9.1mm. I bought mine in 2020, it's not for sale anymore but this one looks the same, it has the same shine edges: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005006186091812.html

Print Settings

  • Printer brand:

    Creality

  • Printer:

    Ender-3 v2

  • Rafts:
    No
  • Supports:
    Yes
  • Resolution:
    0.4mm nozzle / 0.02mm layers
  • Infill:
    20%
  • Filament brand:

    GEEETECH

  • Filament color:

    Silver

  • Filament material:

    PETG

  • Notes:

I like to use PETG for mechanical applications. PLA is too brittle and will break. ABS emits unhealthy gasses during printing.

With PETG i set the plate to 100 degrees celcius, first layer printing at 250 degrees and 240 for all other layers. I spray the glass plate with hair spray so that the object is loose when cooled down.
