Summary

I wanted a case that protected from impact and setting the phone camera side down. But I also hate how the clear cases get yellow and I want to see my red phone. I printed several prototypes to get here. I am going to live with this version for a couple days and then see what improvements I want to make. Aesthetically, I want to fix the gap around the camera so it is even, but more important was getting a fit. NOTE: I printed the model at 102% to allow for tolerances and filament shrink. It will not fit at 100%. You may need to adjust up or down.

My generic PLA fit the phone when printed at 102%, so allow for shrink. Not sure if PETG or others will need more or less.

How I Designed This

Designed in FreeCad

I built a blank for the phone and then extruded areas for the buttons, speaker and camera. Then created a case template around that and did boolean subtract. I added fillets to the edges and then the grips on the outside.
