Summary

Overview

These skids allow an Ego 21" snowblower to work on gravel & other non-cement surfaces. They lift the scraper bar about an inch off the surface. The wide skids work better when the ground is not frozen and/or the snow is light & fluffy. They use the same bolts & bolt pattern, so they can easily be swapped out.

Supports are not necessary. The wide skids have an integrated support. Both sets need to be reamed out with a 5mm drill bit prior to installation.

Instructions

Clamp the skid to the side of the snowblower, lining the ledge on the skid up with the bottom of the snowblower side
Using the skid as a drill guide, drill a 5mm hole through the snowblower side housing
Insert M5 bolt from inside of the snowblower housing and screw on nut
Adjust clamp and repeat process for the second bolt

4 - M5 lock nuts or
8 - M5 nuts (using four as jam nuts)

Orient the large flat surface to the build plate. Layer height and infill are not as important as the number of walls. I printed with 6 walls on a .6 nozzle, which seemed to work well.
