Summary

Hi, this is a design for a motor pod system to be used as a surf/hydrofoil assist motor.

the design is somewhat unique as the battery is also submerged. this allows minimal things to be mounted on the board.

ideally, there would be no wire needed to transmit a signal from the pod to the board. this design uses a wire. Perhaps there is an opportunity to transmit the signal through water using a sonar/vibration signal and a relay mounted on the board? that would be cool!

the PDF contains details information of machines components.
The two STEP assemblies contain a detailed overview of internal components subassemblies etc.
