The mod uses a low cost Mic Stand, and this 3D Printed Handle to build a Brass Insertion Tool. The Iron used is a Hakko (or similar Iron) and a set of low cost brass bits (also available on Aliexpress/eBay/Amazon)...
The Mic stand can be bought for about €18. the brass bits cost about €5 and the Iron cost about €50... Actually any Soldering Station that uses the same iron will work...
When using brass inserts it's important to have them aligned correctly... This tool is probably worth it if you use inserts on a regular basis...
