Summary

I got tired of the tangled nest of cables in my backpack so I developed this model. It keeps my cables neatly wound and leaves both ends visible so I know which one to grab. The two sizes are the same but the "small" size has a shallower winding area so shorter cables are still held in place with a rubber band. The pieces lock together with a press fit for organized storage.

Not sure how well the locking features will hold up with use from PLA. PETG may be a better material for longevity but PLA seems sufficient.

In order to print successfully, your printer will need to be able to handle 60 degree overhangs. If it can't print that, you may need to add some supports.

I use 1/16" wide o-rings to secure the cables. The recess on the top provides clearance for them so the modules can lock together. If you use anything wider than that, the parts may not interlock correctly.
