Summary

I have created this dice box featuring a Dungeons & Dragons design.

The box includes spaces for inserting magnets, which can be easily secured by pressing them in with a soldering iron for a tight fit. However, the lid will stay in place even without the magnets.

To achieve the logo in a different color, what I do is set a pause in CURA just before it starts printing those layers. That's when I change the filament. Alternatively, the logo could also be painted on.

Additionally, I've lined the base with felt to enhance the overall quality as it helps to muffle the sound. As another suggestion, one could line the interior with velvet, potentially matching the color of the logo.

Congratulations on printing your Dungeons & Dragons dice box! To complete your project, please follow these post-printing steps:

Magnet Insertion

Your dice box is designed to accommodate magnets for a secure closure.
If you've printed the version with magnet holes, you can insert small magnets into these spaces.
For a snug fit, gently push the magnets into the holes using a soldering iron. The heat will slightly melt the plastic and allow the magnets to set in place firmly. Please exercise caution when using the soldering iron to avoid burns or melting the plastic too much.

Lid Securement

Even without magnets, the lid is designed to fit securely onto the box. Test the fit and trim or sand any edges if necessary for a smoother operation.

Logo Coloring

To color the logo, you have two options:
Filament Swap: If you want the logo to be in a different color than the rest of the box, use your slicer (e.g., CURA) to pause the print at the appropriate layer, and switch out the filament.
Painting: Should you prefer to paint the logo, ensure the paint is compatible with your print material and apply it carefully to the embossed area.

Felt Lining

For an added touch of quality and to reduce noise, line the base of the dice box with felt.
Cut the felt to size, and glue it into the bottom of the box. Ensure the glue is spread thinly to avoid lumps that might disrupt the box's closing.
Optional Interior Lining

As an optional step, you can line the inside of the box with velvet or another soft fabric to match the logo's color for a luxurious feel. This not only enhances the aesthetics but also provides additional cushioning for your dice.
