Summary

If you want to create a new art project for the family and make some soap or a candles this is something for you. This is a simple mold of a dragon egg that has 2 parts and is intended to be scalled to the preffered size before you print it. Just remember to PREPARE IT WITH A NON STICK SPRAY prior to using it, otherwise the soap or wax will stick to the mold making it dificult to reuse for your next project.

How I Designed This

Making a dragon Egg

I developed this egg using substance designer to make a tilling scale texture, then imporing the image into Zbrush and applying the tilling texture onto a 3d Modelled egg. After making the Dragon Egg I used a boolean to make a mold cut out of it. With a hole in the top so that you can use it to make soap or a candle

How to make dragon a egg candle

3D print both pieces of the mold to an appropriate size of your choosing, and then use cooking oil spray or any non stick spray on the dragon egg mold. Once it has been sprayed to prevent sticking tape both parts of the mold together with the hole at the top. Put a candle wic in the top through the hole. Have a teacher boil some warm water and melt some wax, once the wax is melted include any sented essential oils for a good scented candle into the wax. Once the wax is ready to pour in use a funnel and pour the wax into the mold. Once the wax is cooled down you can remove the tape and take apart the mold and you will have a candle ready to go.
