Summary

Simple TV Remote Stand for a Samsung TV Remote. We recently got a new Samsung TV and the remote was a bit easier to misplace, so wanted to print a simple stand that would be easy to use, either when setting the remote into it, or when grabbing the remote to use.

After printing it, I ended up hot-gluing a large metal washer at the bottom to add some weight to it. For the next version I'll try to include a slot for the washer, and maybe add some rubber feet... stay tuned..

How I Designed This

3D Design

I designed it using TINKERCAD online:

1) Creating a negative of the Remote control footprint,
2) Adding a couple of mm for tolerance and to make it easier for the actual remote to slide in and out, and
3) Using that to make the slot into the half-sphere.
