I shortened it, moved the holes back from the wire side a tad, enlarged them, made the plug hole narrower where the flat sides are on the plug, and recessed the the plug slightly. I used 20mm M3 socket head cap screws. As with all covers of this type, you have to take the original screws off the stepper (one at a time!) and shorten them by 2-3mm.

I print these on their back with support under the screw holes. The slicer might want to put support inside the tapered wire cover - my printer didn't need it so I removed it from that area.
