Technology Education school project involving research, modeling and making of an exposition with fact sheets and explanatory audios about historical monumental architecture on the continentes of Africa, Asia and America. All models were created by students.

Step by step

0- Practicing Tinkercad; Basic exercises using Tinkercad. We had workshops with the help from the local Fab Lab crew to give students a better understanding of the software's tools and possibilities. 1- Selection: Students were given an array of monuments to choose from, and were presented images and short descriptions about each option. 2- Modeling: Creation of the models on Tinkercad. 3- Researching: Filing up of facts sheet about chosen monuments with data such as function, time of construction, size and materials, and other relevant historical information gathered from reputable online sources. 4- Recording: turning fact sheets into a short summary to be recorded into audio, both in portuguese and english. 5- Prepping of the exposition: positioning of models and QR codes leading to fact sheets/audios on their proper places on continental maps. 6- Receiving visitors: Allowing other students to visit and interact with the models, while explaining details of their creation process and historical facts regarding what they represent.
