Summary
This is a piece I designed to fit into the tapered IKEA Ivar bookend brackets designed by Ian Smith found here. If you don't feel like cutting wood pieces to fit into the bracket, you can use this. This is designed for the 11 3/4" deep shelf. The last photo in the set shows how it fits into the bracket (go to the Ian's listing for the bracket files).
