Not your Grandmothers Starfury… Here are 2 example’s of what I would have chose to do with the existing Spaceframe to compete full on in and out Atmospheric Dog Fights.

Cost cutting for the number crunchers, coffee for the pencil pushers and a sock for the mouth of the armchair warriors.

Sure the Thunderbolt is cool, no disrespect there, but I would be lying if I thought it was too close to the SW X Wing. Which…. Anyways…. This is what we ME’s would have started with anyway. Experimental sure, Im sure there’s some good Design Review discussions that could happen around this thing, but right now, it’s just me and you and no talking heads and Ego’s. So let’s have at it!

Upper Atmospheric surfing in a slow decent is a tricky thing. Too much fire and an easy target. I think it’s a little over complicated for a Dog Fight with an enemy fighter with Gravimetric Drive Engines. So hell with it, lets just spear head straight on keeping the guns on its tail and wait for him to bank and light him up! If he tweaks out, pull back on the stick and drop a missile halfway thru your 180 degree turn.

Missile Lock on, heat seek might not work because of decent, also with stealth with Minbari, that would be a nope you could have a computer train on Gravitational Anomalies, weather it be logic gates or AI. Or automated. Personally AI, is sorta a no no, but that’s my 2 cents. Where trying to get to B5, not BSG here… f##kin world… I wish S I R I would STFU. Anyway a quick trigger finger and some common sense and maybe some luck and splash down! Processors in this event might break anyway or be overloaded.

Till now the Star Fury was sort of one or the other, in or out of the atmosphere. Well there’s a good gap there to be closed! I mean how do you miss giving the enemy that advantage… I’d hate it if my Bogey dropped in and I couldn’t follow, did a diagonal corkscrew high G turn and blasted me out from behind and below the Crest of the Gravity Well… Shoot Straight! LIGHT HIM UP. STRAIGHT IN! Then pull out and shred his wing man!

So ya, there’s 2 marks, the MK1 and the MK2. The MK1 is for the Straight in Dive and the MK2 for the Wingman that’s gonna stray over the engagement zone twirling in circles at a 45 degree diagonal angle waiting for your Bogeys Wingman, Lock on and form up AND LIGHT UP! Think about it from the Bogey Wing man prospective, that’s one hell of a hard shoot down. That’s right, these are tag team opps. Haven’t seen that before have ya? Not till now! Hehe, I should get my ITAR at this point and start knocking on some doors at Space Force!

Wings and Cockpit Heavily Modpified. Its design is to pierce the atmospheres like a dart thru a balloon. The Engines got larger multi directional axial adjustments on the Heat shields and thrust directors backside alone with 2 wing extension stabilizers per engine. So again, multipurpose here; thrust projectors and airbrakes. Why because Planets have different panetudes! New word YAY, Planet and Attitude! Meaning, you don’t have time to GAF about what your spear heading into, but the stabilizers are there to help. To much adjustment in one stick so, ya control wise, the talking computer probably going to be dropping F bombs constantly.

Oh btw NASA bought rights for future production of the Starfury btw! So hey, that’s some seriously serious street cred. Seriously! That’s a huge Statement! CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE! Great Job guys!
