Summary

I made this monitor from the display of a dead HP Pavilion G7 laptop. I had to get a control board from eBay but it was pretty easy to find. The screen is 17.3" and the model number is N173O6 -L02 Rev. C3.

This project might be possible with a screen replacement part but you would also need the replacement hinges from the laptop because I used them for mounting points. The hinges were flipped in mine since I have plans to add a kickstand for the back. The front bezel has buttons for input which came with the board I got.

Shoutout to FroggyTonic who made the IO I used.

POST PRINTING:
I haven't printed it myself yet but the idea is to glue all the back pieces together (probably superglue) and then put all the electronics in and put the front on.

COMING SOON:
Buttons (The holes are 2mm radius if you want to make your own but i need to print it before i know how tall to make them)
Kickstand (Not sure if a print will be strong enough but I'll attempt it)
