Summary

Needed a way to hang a fire blanket deployment bag in the kitchen on the back side of a cabinet door. So I designed a hook that fits the metal ring that comes installed on the bag.

Post-Printing

How to mount

You need short wood screws that won't go all the way through your cabinet door and ruin the front of the cabinet. You can use the printed model to mark the holes you need to make. Carefully drill pilot holes that are a little smaller than the screws and once again make sure you don't drill all the way through the cabinet door. Pilot holes keep hard wood from splitting when putting in wood screws. (Tip: Use masking tape on the drill bit to mark how deep you want to make the pilot hole.)

How I Designed This

About the design process...

I run Ubuntu Linux on all my home computers. This limits my choices for CAD software so I have taught myself how to use FreeCAD since there is a native Linux version that seems to be getting more stable as time goes by.
