Summary

This is an insert for a dental vacuum former. It reduces the size of the former platform so that it's more useful for scale modelers.

The two parts are printed then glued together in the configuration shown. Seal around the printed insert with duct tape.

The top part includes a recces to insert a raised wall of stiff cardboard. This is because PLA won't hold up to the heat of the softened plastic. The cardboard should be soaked in CA glue to seal and solidify it.

You will also need to make a reducing sleeve/ holder for the plastic that will fit into the vacuum former's existing clamp. I made this using aluminum from a beer can that is taped along one edge. Thin steel would also work.
