Summary

The Lionel Great Railway Adventure series playsets by Learning Curve was made and discontinued in the early 2000's. It's hard to come by now and can be fairly expensive to collect. These proprietary tracks snapped together and were the same scale as the common Thomas The Tank Engine and Brio series of trains for children. They even made adapter pieces to connect to the common wood tracks also made by learning curve.

I fell in love with these when my kids were small as they were more detailed and actually modeled after real, historical train lines and the track looked more like a real railroad track.

Print these with supports touching buildplate. There's no need for supports in the holes, they'll print fine. But, you'll need to rip out the sacrificial square of plastic on the "H" holes with a pair of needle nose pliers. They work great with the original track and should snap in place and separate just like the original.

I printed these with a 0.6 nozzle and a .28 layer height, so you can probably get even better detail with a 0.4 nozzle and 0.20 layer height. Yes, I've modeled a switch piece, but I may be putting those STL's up for a fee once they're finished on an actual marketplace.
