Summary

This track prints >2x faster than other Duplo-compatible track designs on Thingiverse, which matters if you want a lot of track.

Unlike the traditional approach of only offering 30 degree curves, this track design provides a 15 degree curve, which might be a useful addition to your track collection.

Compatible with Duplo and 3rd party products dating back to the 1990s:

One reason it prints faster is that the track is lower to the ground, however it has a neat feature that ensures compatibility with standard track designs. This involves two lips designed to grip the top of any conventional track pieces it is connected to, that keeps itself raised up at that end, so that it naturally offers a suitable ramp. There is no need for a spacer unless you are using it with vintage Duplo track (the old black-coloured track from the 1990s).

This design does not attache onto Duplo blocks/sheet, but you probably won't care if you are using it on the carpet/floor. If you want a viaduct train track raised up on stilts this can be done using the viaduct pillars.
