Summary

This is a release mechanism for a Science Olympiad Wheeled Vehicle build. The piece is designed to pivot on a rod run through the hole on the left of the model. A zip tie is tightened around the center of the drive axel of the vehicle and held in place with super glue to prevent it from spinning. The excess zip tie is cut off leaving a nub on the axel. The printed release mechanism is then swung up, covering the nub. The drive axel which is under tension from the elastic material is prevented from spinning while the release mechanism is in place as the zip tie end does not have enough room to spin freely in printed release mechanism. When the vehicle is in its ready to run configuration the release mechanism is release by the downward motion of a vertically aligned unsharpened #2 pencil pressed against the right most projection of the model.

This is a small part that should not be under much strain. 20%+ infill should be fine. I printed this on default "very fast" settings. Its a functional print so looks were not a concern.
