Summary

This is an attempt at a modular enclosure system for the Raspberry Pi microcomputer or similar. Mounts included for the official Raspberry Pi screen.

The idea for a 3D printable case of this design was conceived whilst modifying standard plastic food containers for use in DIY raspberry pi project. The aim is to have a enclosure system that enables integration of diverse parts in one case.

The case is not currently watertight so suitable for dry conditions only.

This case size is:

270x190x84.4mm

and contains an internal cage of:

152x152x65mm to which a raspberry and other component can be attached. The method of attaching the components is at the choice of the user.

M4 and M6 plastic bolts are required for assembly.

A earlier version has been successfully 3D printed but I have not tested as do not have a 3D printer. Therefore caveat emptor.

Please be aware that due to a design idiosyncrasy the sides need to be mounted in a specific way as one side orientation has 15 holes and the other orientation 13 holes.

This is sort of a work in progress. I have finished for now but any construct feedback would be appreciated if you decide to print.

If nothing else the parts could be used as scenery in table top gaming :).

How I Designed This

I designed this based on crafting plastic kitchen food containers into a modular raspberry pi enclosure. Doing this crafting took a long time so I figured it might be better to design a modular enclosure system that could be 3D printed.
