Summary
I was looking for a different style of portal print to use with my games and ran across Qbatronix's inspired work, and thought I might be able to tweak it to house some LED lights I had lying around. This is the culmination of that.
Print the base in whatever color you want; I used blank and then panted. The portal front and back should be printed in clear or at least transparent so the LED will shine through.

I used little bullet shaped LED balloon lights that come in a variety of colors and come with an on/off switch. The clear portal front and back were printed with lightning infill to give a less regular visual.
