Summary

Just in case - the H0m model is published here

The book by Zieglgänsberger [9, p. 17 & 123] contains two photographs of a wagon with barrels. Even though these were empty new barrels from Rinkemühle, this led to our internal project name "Bierwagen" (Beer Wagon).

The wagon shown in the photos is no. 274 of the former Südharzbahn remained on the territory of the GDR and was assigned to the Deutsche Reichsbahn with the number 99-72-02.

Original picture provided by Julius [5], model pictures made from my print by myself.

History

These wagons were conversions from self-unloading wagons procured by the SHE in 1903 by Orenstein & Koppel (Drewitz near Potsdam) [8]. Although no precise data is available, the literature indicates that several wagons were converted when gravel transport was abandoned.
At least two were converted to high-sided wagons with sheet metal walls. On wagon 264, the sheet metal walls were formed from the sheets of the self-unloading hoppers, which can be seen from the edges in the panels of the walls.
Wagon 265 had smooth panels, which according to could be due to the lack of old sheets [7, p. 115]. Wagon 274 received wooden walls.

Drawings can be found in [1, p. 34], [8, p. 200] and [7, p. 115]. The photos from sources [2] to [6] to were partially a valuable supplement.

A snowplow [1, p. 35] and a weed control wagon [8, p. 201] are further conversions based on the former self-unloading wagons.

Printing

Select the main part for desired car, I printed them Y 135° (upside down 45°).

Select the matching platform - I'd advice to print it 20-30° rotated to the inside.

Choose additional hosepipes for side without the platform. I'd advice to print it 20-30° rotated to the inside.

I used medium supports in Lychee but reduced most tip size to 0,25 to 0,4mm. Keep and eye on the very small parts and support them as light as possible

Feel free to use couplings form my other models. The couplings are connected with M2,5 screws.
