Summary

This is a set to make a full outdoor giant chess set using a printer and 4x4 posts. Simply print out a base and a topper, slide the base over the topper and onto a 4x4 and screw in with any 82 degree wood screw of your choice. The only part requiring supports in the Knight. Removing them takes a bit of patience. I found the best method is to start where the supports connect to the bottom of the piece and to snip that connection and the support comes right out. For reference a full plastic model for a big chess set can cost about 800 dollars. Making this is about 100$ worth of printer material (PLA) and about 150$ worth of wood. So you could even buy a 500$ printer and make these pieces and still end up saving money and come out on the other end with a printer... just saying

Again, the only piece that needs supports is the knight. The bases print just fine so long as you print them upside down. No need for supports for the holes.
