Summary

A mini rod and pair of brackets for putting up a single small container or hooks.

I've made a left and right version of the bracket, and these can be used either from above or below the rod quite satisfactorily.

I set these to print with cubic subdivision infill at 30%, with 3 walls, and 0.2mm layer height, and this seems to be adequately strong.

I use a brim for adhesion.

A note that the rod is best printed flat, for best longitudinal strength. It can be scaled longer but I doubt it would be strong at 300mm, I'd actually just print a second and fix them side by side. The bed side will be a little rough because of the overhang, but a thick first layer (0.4mm) will stop this being a problem, and just have that side facing the wall if you don't want to do any post finishing.

How I Designed This

I bought some of the kits with containers and rods for a particular space, and was stupid enough to not measure. Turns out the metal rods were longer than would fit. I decided to hacksaw them down to half length, and made the brackets to fit them. Then I realised I quite liked the brackets, and so made a rod to go with them to fit into an even smaller location.

I've added a small end-cap to go into the open ends of the original metal bars.
