Summary
Use a filament sensor with a top mounted filament holder. (There are many top mounted filament holders for Kobra 2 printers on this site.)
Requires the following:
(2) 3mm x 16 screws - attach bracket to back of printhead (replacing the original short screws)
(2) 3mm x 20 screws w/nuts - attach sensor to this bracket
(1) sensor extension cable - connect sensor to machine (from AlliExpress, Ebay, etc - I made my own)
I use the ribbon cable and original ptfe tube clips to route the extension wire to the printhead.
