Summary

Designed in Fusion 360, this adapter fits regular 4 inch speakers in the door panels of the Volvo 240. They work with the OEM grill in the photo. The adapters don't space out the speaker, as they are mountet on the outside.

I also uploaded the Fusion project file so you are free to improve on it, but please give credit if you were to upload your modified version. Thank you!
