Summary

I found that the Insta360 GPS preview remote is really useful, but dont always want it on my wrist and almost never use a selfie stick. (in a race car, mounted on a dash etc) I was frustrated that there wasnt a way to cold shoe mount it to an X4 cage so I made one.

GPS Preview remote can be put in right side up or upside down, as it has a cutout at top and bottom for buttons. Both sides have speaker holes as well. since you cant flip the screen upside down on the remote, I made it so you can just flip the whole thing over. It snaps in pretty well but also made it with 3mmx6mm magnets that grab on to the built in charger magnet. Putting them diagonally ensures no matter what orientation it is, it will grab it.

NOTE: When installing the magnet be sure you get the polarity right to match your remote!
NOTE: when using a cold shoe be sure it is straight out and not angled so it stays invisible in the stitch line.
If used straight out as shown, it is completely invisible.
