I resized this user's beautifully made book case, added a base/stand for it to slip into, and resized some books to make a physical, mini bookcase to house all my ebooks!
I have ADHD so sometimes out of sight is completely out of mind and I forget the books I have. I like to see how many books I've read too, get that sweet sweet dopamine of task completion. I also want to use the small books as a way to help me pick my next read. Add these small books to a jar, shake it, and pull one out to see what your next read will be :)
I used ABS on a PolyPrinter 229, 25% infill, and it turned out great!
You might have to trim the base of the bookcase to fit into the stand. I used some quick set glue and it's been sturdy ever since! I use museum puddy to get the books to stay on the shelf because I'm clumsy as heck and every time I knocked the case over, the books would scatter lol
As for the book covers, I created a document in Word, inserted a rectangle around 1.30"~ long, and like .75-.80" tall, this rectangle serves as a guide for placing the cover images.
I googled the cover image, cropped and pasted the cover to the right and left side of the rectangle, and if there was a spine image posted, I could copy paste that in too. If not, I would just crop the front cover text as best I could to make a spine image, and I'd place that in the middle of the rectangle.
