Summary

Yakul is the red elk that Ashitaka rides in Princess Mononoke.

I sized this to be able to fit on a large sized (50mm) base for Tabletop Games like Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder, as I used to have Yakul as a mount for a cavalier mount in a old Pathfinder game and this mini was a homage to that.

I printed this on an Anycubic Mono 4k printer but I lost the supported version as I forgot to save it. The legs are very thin, I would recommend scaling up if you are printing on a filament printer.

How I Designed This

Made in Meshmixer

I loved the head, chest fluff and saddle from LadyDrezda's Yakul sculpture but wanted a more naturalistic pose like that in the "Deers" sculpture from thelongrunsmoke. So I cut the standing deer out of the "deers" sculpture and cut off it's head.

Then I selected and cut out the head, chest fluff, and saddle from LadyDrezda's Yakul and added them to the other sculpture. Though, I had to copy the chest fluff and add texture in Meshmixer to blend it together.'
