Summary

I have a four-seater golf cart with two rearward facing seats in the back. There was no place for those passengers to place their drinks when we were driving around, so I made these up holders for their enjoyment. They clamp to the frame of the golf cart.

I thought about putting a more solid clamping approach but realized it would be squeezing in the weakest dimension of the design so for now, I left it off and instead put some ribs down the side to improve the stiffness.

There is one design for the driver side and another for the passenger side.

I needed to put a skirt around the design to ensure that the thin parts are held in place.

How I Designed This

This was the second iteration of the design, since the first was will protected and inside the curve of the frame. The only problem was no glass would ever fit in it. I move the cup holder to outside the design. I used a Starbuck's grande cup as the size template.
