Summary
After wasting so many 4x5 film sheets from missing critical focus, I decided to work with a friend of mind in a 3D Facebook group to design this focusing hood and it has worked wonders. It allows you to focus even hand-held (which I do not recommend but it is possible).
I've included clips (print 2) but also added holes to insert magnets if you can afford to drill into your intrepid ground glass holder.
