Summary

This conversion makes filament selection much more reliable and precise with very few additional parts. This also solves all the issues with belt tension or belt grip. All parts can be found on amazon. You will need a generic 8mm lead screw with a 4 hole brass nut, a hand full of heat inserts, m3 screws, 8mm shaft coupler and one 608 bearing.

8mm lead screw (cut to fit based on number of gates)
m3 screws (various sizes, all common voron sizes)
brass m3 heat inserts
608 bearing
8mm shaft coupler

These parts use the normal voron part print settings.

The motor block will require supports. Print this part, motor side up.

config

This set up uses only the physical homing limit switch, you cannot use sensor less homing due to the change in gear ratio between the belt and screw. The following config changes are needed in klipper...

There are 2 of these "endstop_pin" configs that need to be changed. one to comment out
and one to uncomment.

Ignore the "-##" in the sections that need to be commented out, these symbols are only there because thingiverse changes lines that start with a #. These sections only need the single # as normal.

After all these changes are made, you will need to redo the Selector gate positions calibration. Each gate position will change slightly.
