A5-2017 Phone Case - Killua (Hunter x Hunter)

Summary

I liked the phone case nexxa74 uploaded. But after using it for almost a year it was time for a new one. So this time I incorporated a few changes that I wanted.

The first change I did was the addition of Killua on the back. Because, well, its Killua.

The other changes I did were due to my use of regular PLA instead of PLA FLEX as suggested in the original design. So I enlarged the headphone jack hole a bit. I found some headphones were a little too tight to fit. I added a hole for the microSD card and another one for the SIM card since regular PLA doesn't allow me to simply remove and replace the cover.

Assembly

If you are using regular PLA, PETG, or something similar, you will need to heat up the case prior to inserting your phone into it. With the case sitting upside down on the printer, I used the heated bed (set to 70C to 80C) to preheat the case before putting the phone into it. You will need to work quickly to get the phone in and squeeze the sides back into shape. Once the case cools, you will most likely have to break the case to get the phone back out. But seeing as everything is now accessible with the case on, there shouldn't be a need to.
