Summary

After seeing online that most people plug into a banana clip adapter (which I don't love) or they just plug directly into the wall (better but only a bit) to control static, I decided to build a simple terminal post grounding plug ESD adapter.

This is designed to be fairly secure and won't pop out easily like the banana clips do once they start to wear out. This also only costs a few cents and can be customized further without too much effort.

With a slight indentation to make removal easy and a single #10 machine screw (#10 UNC-24x1.25") and nut as the ground post and terminal connection, this is a great alternative to $8-$10 adapters seen with online retailers.

NOTE: Be careful with the prongs. I never had any break off in the wall, but I can see this happening. I printed enough wall layers to make the prongs solid (or use support blockers) and printed with them pointed up in the air. So far so good. Just be sure to push-in or pull-out directly without applying side-pressure. Also, ALWAYS USE CARE care when working with electricity.

As always, I have included the Blender file and I use Booleans to not be destructive. The other STL is my first modeling of the plug just in case that has any value to anyone.
