Summary

Our Scout Council revived the Klondike Derby and I thought the Scouts would appreciate a trophy for their efforts. I found a sled model and transformed it to make a small sled trophy. Next, I found a crate model (separate Thingiverse entry) and glued it to the sled. When I showed the Scouts organizing the event they asked what I was going to put in the crate? That is a whole separate project.

I embossed the blank plaque and found it worked much better to put the lettering on then adjust the position and merge it with the side.

Printing the sled flat then assembling it was very conservative. They printed easily went together well and hold together by friction but a few drops of glue make them a permanent model.

The project worked great and the Scouts really appreciated the trophy.

How I Designed This

I took the original listing which was for a laser cutter and changed it to a 3D model. I added a plaque to emboss. Alternatively, you could print the plaque blank and letter it with paint pens or sharpie pens.
