Summary

My 9 month old enjoys crawling inside the cubes and trying to eat cables, using a chain link fence model, some of my own design, two print in place hinges and some super glue I was able to build a gate that seems to keep him out, for now.

The hinges used are these https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4365444 each gate needs two printed at 100% infill, I used Loctite extreme super glue to attach them to the gate and you'll want to use something with a bit of weight to hold the hinge down until the glue sets (I used large hex bits for a ratchet and left them over night.)

The screws were just some random ones I had in a cabinet but you'll want to use ones with a point, I didn't pre drill any holes just used the screw to self tap.

You could possibly attach the hinge to the gate itself inside of your CAD software of choice, I tried this but ran into issues with the hinge breaking since the gate as a whole is printed at a lower infill than the hinge needs, but if you know what you're doing more than me and your slicer of choice let's you do different infill for different parts of the print you could do the gate at 15% and the hinge at 100%.

Or if you really hate turtles and have a metric ton of filament you're trying to get rid of you could just do the entire thing at 100%, idk do what you want it's a free country.

This was printed on a Elegoo Neptune 4 Max and to print as is you'll need something with similar build volume as this takes up like 90% of the build plate, since it's a square though, if you have a smaller printer it should be pretty straight forward to chop into smaller equal parts and glue them together after, this isn't tested though.

Finally, this takes a lot of filament and time, the entire entertainment center has 8 cubes and each gate takes about 300g of filament and 10 hours to print, plus about 30 minutes for two hinges, if you plan on printing enough to cover each cube be prepared to have your printer busy for a hot minute and have plenty of filament on hand.

I tried lowering the time and filament needed but lower infill had some issues with the top layers setting correctly since they were essentially supportless overhangs with how big the internal gaps were, and printing at higher speeds was giving me some issues with layer adhesion and layer shifts, so ultimately this seemed to be the best combo to give consistently successful prints.
