Summary

Special thanks to JeEk. I am learning to draw in Fusion 360 and was stuck drawing this. After contacting JeEk, JeEk uploaded the Fusion 360 files which allowed me to see how it was designed. I learned quite a bit just seeing how someone else does it.

This was created for quarter sheet of A4 paper. Folded into fours. The slits for the clip are bigger to accommodate a folded sheet of paper.

If you go into Fusion 360 and "Change Parameters", I have notes on what dimensions can be changed and what you might change them to. I thought I wanted a sign to hold a full sheet of paper A4, but found that too long to print. Then my thought was for half a sheet of paper as I could fold the paper without having to cut it. Still found it to be too big so I settled on a 1/4 sheet. Still foldable. What I did find is that you have to fold it perfectly otherwise the sheet will have a bubble look.

The thumb grip at the top of the sign was originally put there to add stability for the print. While it helped with the adherence of the print, anything over about 3" would wobble and give me a bad print. So that is why I added the support. If you were to make a small sign for a business card, this thumb grip may not be needed.

I actually print a little wider than 1/4 sheet of paper so it seems like it is framed.

Hope others can use and even improve this so that it prints easier and faster.

FYI, I originally had the sign backing to be 2mm thinking it would be stiffer but after adding a gusset on one side, I found that 1.6mm was stable enough.

For large signs greater than 4", I added support on the top edge of the sign to provide more stability.

In Bambu Slicer, look to paint support on the top edge on both sides of the sign.
