Summary

Owning a dog in the city means picking up poop in poop bags. We usually buy a pack of 16 from target that sits in a cupboard or drawer and slowly falls apart until the last few rolls just lie there without a container. Another thing about living in the city is space - so any space optimization is a win.

The Poop Bag Roll Dispenser

So I created this - a holder / dispenser for rolls of poop bags. I've tested it with up to 14 rolls and then there was still some space available, so you may be able to squeeze 16 in there. I don't know if these come in different sizes, but this is optimized for rolls that are 60mm wide, with a diameter of 30mm.

Printing

Print one of each model. The two sides - left and right are the largest, but they do fit on the bed of an Ender 3.

Left - Left side of the model.
Right - Right side of the model
Bottom - Forms the bottom of the model and a ramp, allowing the rolls to roll downward to the opening. You can print this on its side without supports, but I ended up printing it flat on the middle surface with supports (only needed for the short side)
Upper - The upper front side. Again, can be printed on its side without supports, but I printed it flat with supports.
Front - The small front panel.
Back - The large back panel

All parts were printed in Inland PLA+, but you can use whatever you prefer in whatever colors you like.

Assembly

Since there are 6 parts, assembly is required.
You'll need some Cyanoacrylate (CA) glue and an accelerant. I used a medium CA glue to give me time to get things in place before it sets.

Before starting with final assembly, make sure that all the parts fit snugly and that any printing artefacts (like brims, elephant's foot, etc) are cleaned up.

Place either the “Left” or “Right” side face down on a workbench or table (groove side up)
Apply CA glue to the slot for the “Bottom” panel, then insert it. Ensure that it is properly in place, then spray a bit of accelerant along the joint.
Apply CA glue to the slot for the “Upper” panel, then insert it. Again, ensure fit before spraying a little accelerant.
Once the “Bottom” and “Upper” are firmly in place, CA glue the “Font" panel in the same way, followed by the back panel.
Now that all the panels are in place, apply CA glue to as needed and fit the other side completing the build.

About spraying CA glue accelerant

With my first build, I applied accelerant to the second side and glue to the panels that would fit into it. This resulted in a mess since the glue instantly hardens on contact with the accelerant and I couldn’t get things properly aligned. Another reason to use the accelerant judiciously, being careful with overspray.
Be careful when spraying accelerant. If you get accelerant onto some part that is still going to receive glue, the glue will instantly harden and you won't be able to fit the part.

Plan the angle you plan to spray accelerant.
You don't need to apply it to the entire length of a joint, just a little here and there is usually enough to hold it in place while the glue sets.
You can re-apply accelerant once all the parts are in place if you need to.
