Summary
Hello again. This is a improved version of the fire alarm pull station break rod replacements.
This is a replacement break rod for American fire alarm pull stations.
The break rods now fit in more pull stations.
Tested on: RSG T-Bar, Couch Chevron, Edwards 270SPO.
This is for hobby use only and not for real systems.
How I Designed This
How I made the model
The idea came to me after I got my first RSG T-Bar.
I've always wanted to break the original glass break rod, but since I live in Germany I can't get a new one cheaply.
So I took the original brake rod and took a few measurements.
Afterwards I tried to create a model from the break rod in Tinkercad.
The first version had some problems, it didn't really break in the T-bar.
That's why, like with the modern plastic brake rods from Simplex, I made a small incision in the model.
But the break rod was still a little too small.
But now I had time to make new models, so I made the 2nd version of the brake rod.
This now fits much better in most pull stations and the model with the cut now actually breaks in the T-bars.
