Summary

PETG filament is recommended due to its enhanced flexibility and better fire resistance compared to PLA or ABS.

While both parts of the dock are designed to be printed without supports, it is advisable to use rafts for printing the front part to have better adhesion.

Additional printing settings may vary depending on the filament and the printer itself. I personally printed it using a Creality Ender 3 within a custom-built enclosure.

Post-Printing

After printing the parts 5x or 7x Positioning pins and 2x allen screws & bolts are needed. While the screws used are the allen screw M3x20 DIN 912 with the corresponding nut M3 K8 DIN 934

The best practice to weld the cable on the Pin is:

Position the pin to the bottom part of the print
With a marker mark the position which is below the plastic Pic1
once you have the mark sold on the cable and insulate it with heat-shrinking tube to prevent short circuits Pic 2
repeat this for all of the pins, position them on the bottom part
insert the screw in the front part and make it pass trough
connect the two parts securing it with the nut
you're done :)
