Summary

Made this for the connector on the back of my PosiTector DFT gage case so I can hang my gage while taking readings. The "nub" on the back will slot into the grove on the top face. The bottom face has a slot for a 60x10x3 mm magnet (I bought these off Amazon, they are DIYMAG Strong Neodymium bar Magnets with Double-Sided Adhesive). I used a bit of silicone adhesive for a stronger bond.

I have yet to test in the field, but my preliminary testing seems to be working just fine for my use case. I may make a REV2 with 2 magnets for thin gauge steels for a better hold.

This was done for fun and for my personal use, thought others that may have a similar dimension "nub" (nominally 6.5-mm shaft, 9.5-mm head, shaft is 4.1-mm long and head is 3.6-mm tall) could use this where the need to hang something with a magnet. Enjoy!
