Summary

This is a design concept for an assassination drone from the fictional novel "Guerrilla Drones". It is meant to show all of the design elements discussed in the novel, and is probably not functional. It has a magnetic clamp at the base actuated by a servomotor, soft robotic tentacles individually actuated by four servomotors to grasp branches, power lines, etc., variable pitch rotors controlled by one servomotor, a housing with power and communication PCBs, a Brooks coil for wireless charging from power lines, and a 2-axis gimballed poison dart magazine with 128 individually addressable darts propelled by primer and ignited with small resistive coils in the PCB and a solar cell on top. The rotor shrouds have helical acoustic metamaterial rings to cancel the blade pass frequency at low speeds for stealthy approach. The drone is designed to stay in the field indefinitely. Enjoy!
