Summary

When buying a replacement rear window regulator they tend not to come with the little pin that secures the moving part to the plastic bit at bottom of the window. This is a design based on photos as I never had the original to measure off. It works for me but you may need to scale it one way or the other.

Its designed for the ford focus mk1 REAR window on electric window models, there are two styles of mechanism and this should fit both. Its extremely likely to also fit many other models, please let me know if it works for you I will add the model to this page.

You line up the window with the mech bit, also in line with the hole in the inner door panel, push the dowel (larger) part in from behind through the hole, smaller tapered end first, Then holding that in place with one hand you push the smaller pin part inside it from the front, again smaller taper end first. It jams in and should hold pretty tight.

Print with nice big layers at something like 90-95% infill. It needs to resist shearing force and the large layers gives a nice rough edge to help with its friction fit.

The somewhat pointless photo shows the back of the glass holder with the black dowel pushed in from the back, the outer door skin is to the left.

No support required, probably better to print both with the larger end down. I used PLA, pretty much anything should work..
