This is my version of a tail tidy for the Husqvarna Vitpilen/Svarpilen 401 models 2020 and onwards. There are some models available online for purchase, but I decided to make my own and share it publicly. This is the EU model for Husqvarna, so make sure that the tail design is the same for you. I recommend printing a test piece with 2 walls and 5% infill to test the fitment, and then print out the whole piece.
I`m pretty sure the model also suits the Vitpilen/Svarpilen 125 and maybe 701 if they also use the same tail design, but I was not able to confirm since I do not have access to these bikes in order to test.
I printed it with 7 walls and 60% infill on a .4mm nozzle in white PLA (later spray painted in black), which was totally overkill and you could probably get away with much much less without encountering any problems. The weakspot of the part in my testing has always beed the part where the pertrusions which fit in the tail with bolts meet the 2 arms wich extend backwards, since the part cannot be made any stronger or the stock bolts would not fit or the part becomes too thick to fit the bike. (I recommend making sure that there is 100% infill for those 2 tubes for stability)
Because of this, the part features 2 small notches on the inside / each side in order to fit a zip tie around the part wich connects to the stock blinkers for extra stability. They are not mandatory for the instalation, the part can hold up by itself, but I tend to drive on very rough roads sometimes and the assembly can vibrate too much and thus lead to a possible failure of the part in the place I mentioned earlier. With the 2 zip ties, the whole assembly is extremely rigid and can hold up to anything I have currently subjected it to, so you should be good.
The part also includes a few hooks on the inside to neatly fit the stock cable from the stock tail light and its connector for added protection and there is no need to drill any holes or damage any fairing or part in order to fit the cable through. (for all you warranty people out there).
The stock tail light cable can be rerouted underneath the right 2 fairings after the removal of the stock plate holder. It is a bit tricky to remove from the chainguard because of some questionable screw placements, but afterwards it is very easy. The cable runs behind the coolant reservoir, where it performs a loop since it is around 15cm longer than what is needed for the tail tidy, but I kept it in case I need to install the stock tail again.
The cable comes out of the right mount for the turn signal between 2 fairings that have a small gap. It is a very tight fit, so make sure you have enough cable out to reach the light.
When it comes to wet driving conditions, the plate acts like a fender in order to block the splatter from the wheel when driving in the rain, but it doesnt do a 100% perfect job. When driving fast while raining some ammount of splatter can reach the passenger seat, though it is not a large ammount (a few drops, though it depeends on how long you drive for). If this is a big issue for you, you can extend the length of the arms in the blend file provided and make it 1cm longer, and then test out how it performs in the rain. If still not satisfied, extend one more cm, though make sure to use the zip ties because the licence plate will be farther away from the mounting point and causes a bigger lever arm wich can break the part much easier.
The chain guard gets screwed back in place with one screw from the stock mount, thought it would be better with 2, wich necessitates the printing of a beam to mount to the chain guard ( when you remove the stock licence mount you will clearly see what I am talking about). In my testing, I did not need to print out that piece since the 1 bolt was sufficient for me, so I have not designed it currently, but if I ever have to print it I will make sure to also uplaod it here.
I have also provided the blender file for anyone to make any modifications as they see fit and make it their own.
