Summary

For use with a 4-5" Baader-type solar film.
I dozed this to fit over the objective of my spotting scope, but will fit over anything else that is 3.5" OD or smaller.

I'll upload a protective cover set after building those, but they'll be a piece of cake to make .
Trimmed the film to fit the face of the pieces, used double-sided tape to hold the film in place while assembling, and electrical tape around the outside.

In hindsight, I should have trimmed the film square, left the corner "ears" to fold over the edge, and the electrical tape would have helped to keep the film in place.

Since it's really just the double-sided tape keeping the film in place, I'll likely run some screws through the faces to make for a tighter retention.

4"film is cheaper and would work fine, but it would only have 0.25" of support in the edges.
