Summary

A replacement 43mm wheel for RC cars designed for the 1/18 scale WL Toys 959 series.

The lightweight wheels that come with this car crack easily and replacements are hard to find. This lightweight design is a direct form fit replacement for the originals and reuses the original tire. I have been running them for a while and these are considerably tougher than the originals!

To print the part, I use:
PLA+
0.4mm nozzle
2 line thickness walls
25% infill
z seam position set to random
support on

To make up the complete wheel for use, carefully pry the rubber tire from the old wheel, being careful not to tear or damage the rubber.

Fit the tire to the printed part and once happy every thing fits well, add a couple of drops of superglue to inside and outside rims to fix the tire to the wheel. This also seals the cavity and stop dust and muck filling the tire over time.
