Summary

I have designed a drag knife for my MPCNC with Euro neck (43mm). It is quite simple and is based on other designs. In addition to the pressure parts, you also need the following parts:

LM12UU plain bearing (as bearing for the knife)
Plotter blade (diameter: 15mm top/ 12mm middle/ 9mm bottom)
PTFE rod (optional/ 20mm /for the "sliding shoe")
M4 x 20 screw
M4 nut
Rubber band (diameter: 30mm)

In my case, I made the "glide shoe" from PFTE on the lathe. PFTE has the optimum properties and glides very well over the vinyl. However, I also provided a cap as a print file.

I am very happy with the result, the blade can be adjusted very precisely. This means that only the vinyl is cut and not the backing film.

Für meine MPCNC mit Eurohals (43mm) habe ich mir ein Schleppmesser konstruiert. Es ist recht einfach aufgebaut und orientiert sich an anderen Designs. Man benötigt neben den Druckteilen noch folgende Teile:

Gleitlager LM12UU (als Lager für das Messer)
Plottermesser (Durchmesser: 15mm oben/ 12mm Mitte/ 9mm unten)
Stange PTFE (optional/ 20mm /für den "Gleitschuh")
M4 x 20 Schraube
M4 Mutter
Gummiband

In meinem Fall, habe ich den "Gleitschuh" aus PFTE auf der Drechselbank hergestellt. PFTE hat die optimalen Eigenschaften und gleitet sehr gut über das Vinyl. Ich habe aber auch eine Kappe als Druckdatei bereitgestellt.

Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich sehr zufrieden, die Klinge lässt sich sehr genau einstellen. So wird nur das Vinyl geschnitten und nicht die Trägerfolie.

Post-Printing

The assembly is simple. The plain bearing (LM12UU) is pressed into the housing.
The upper cap with the setting wheel is also simply pushed onto the plotter blade. If it is too loose, it can of course also be glued on. The same applies to the nut.
Once everything is assembled, the plotter blade is now inserted into the plain bearing. The rubber allows it to spring up and down.

Der Aufbau ist einfach. Das Gleitlager (LM12UU) wird in das Gehäuse eingepresst.
Die obere Kappe mit Einstellrad wird ebenfalls nur auf das Plottermesser aufgesteckt. Sollte es zu lose sein, kann man es natürlich auch festkleben. Gleiche gilt für die Mutter.
Ist alles zusammengebaut, wird das Plottermesser nun in das Gleitlager gesteckt. Durch den Gummi kann es nun hoch und runter federn.
