Summary

I needed to pad my "buy 3 and save" order on Aliexpress and noticed "Smart Ear Cleaner Endoscope 5.5mm 3-in-1 Ear Otoscope Earwax Remover Picker with 2 Ear Scoops Support Android PC Type-C" for $2.19, It had USB adapters I wanted so I got it. The adapters work fine, now what to do with the endoscope?

It's not great, the image is obviously upscaled from much lower resolution, there's no automatic focus or change of zoom, literally zero frills. But hey, $2. So, I designed a stand, and now I have a very basic electronics microscope. There's a screw to adjust height = focus and little more than that.

No "artifacts" other than the endoscope.

FreeCAD file attached, with params in spreadsheet, so if you have a different endoscope model (say, one of the Wifi ones?) you can adapt it easily.

see pic for optimal orientations; in particular the gripper is best sat on one of the diagonal edges for best strength. Supports not needed but use brim, or even raft if things refuse to remain stuck to the table (in particular the arm is finicky).

Assembly - everything is press-fit, pay attention to a little nub on the side of the arm, it's there for the nut to press down on.
