Summary
This university project consists of a laser cutting and engraving kit. It's a puzzle aimed at children with a cat theme that uses a geometric tessellating design.
In the repository, you can find a 3D assembly video, an image of the result, DXF files for cutting and engraving, and a vectorized PDF with the designs.
How I Designed This
1 - Sketches and geometric design.
The first challenge was to design a geometric pattern and the shape of the pieces. It's not easy to find examples on the web.
2 - Vector design.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I created the vector design, paying special attention to ensuring that the design fits in all its positions.
3 - Animation video.
The animation was generated using 3D Studio Max. Importing the vector design into the 3D software and animating the elements.
