Summary
Lego Technic Planetary Wheel Hub with a 3:1 or 5:1 reduction. Compatible with both Tyres and Caterpillar tracks
How I Designed This
I was inspired to create my own version of a Lego Planetary Wheel Hub after seeing several designs.
During the prototyping and testing I realised that by having the driving ring as a seperate part, I could switch between a 36 and 40 tooth part. This gives a choice of a 3:1 or 5:1 gear reduction.
This assembly also requires 42, 6mm dia steel balls to be used as bearings
